Always knew the sea was in the blood.
My Dad has researched the family history, and found that one of out forefathers was skipper and owner of this schooner.
The Skip was what is known as a Blackbirder! The boat sailed the Pacific Ocean looking for volunteers to work on the Australian sugar cane plantations.
Have to say most were not volunteers, but that was 200 years ago.
Proud of the sea heritage, but taking a check on the business.
